This is a tribute to one of (if not) the best animated TV shows the 1980s – Superted! The show is underrated and is worthy of a tribute (although I cannot do the show justice myself).

This is purely fan-made and unofficial for those who were lucky enough to watch this show while it was on TV or own any of the episodes. I do not own any of the rights to Superted nor am I affiliated with the creator Mike Young or anybody else involved with the production of the show.

I apologise for the quality and variance of the clips as they have been collected from a number of sources including old VHS tapes.

For those of you wondering, the extended theme song is thanks to Mike Townend and Chris Stuart, and the lyrics are as follows:

“Who’s the bear — shoots through the air, like a streak of red?
Superted, Superted!
If trouble brews, i’ll tell you who’s, a step or two ahead,
Superted, Superted!
A scarlet suit, a flowing cape.
A secret word, a magic change.
But when his cape is spread, he’s Superted, Superted, Superted!
A special bear, he’s always there, before the crooks have fled,
Superted, Superted!
You won’t have heard his magic word, but when that word is said,
He’s Superted, Superted!
While you’re asleep, he’s there to keep, you safe and sound in bed,
Superted, Superted, Superted, Superted!”

A shorter version of this theme can be heard during the ending credits of Superted episodes.

I have since been in contact with Mike and for those who want to see Superted come back please visit www.mikeyoungproductions.com and let him know directly that he has your support. He will respond to you very quickly and personally!

Thanks Mike Young!

Enjoy!
